Food of the Gods, and How It Came to Earth (version 2)

Mr. Bensington and Professor Redwood invent a substance that causes living things to grow uncontrollably. As their experiments progress, the substance quickly gets out of control, affecting insects and plants. The story explores the consequences of feeding this substance to a human child. This science fiction satire takes aim at various members of society, including scientists, ministers, and revolutionaries. Ultimately, Wells expresses faith in humanity and its progress.
