Sense and Sensibility

The two eldest Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, one of whom embraces practicality and restraint while the other gives her whole heart to every endeavor. When the Dashwoods are sent to a small cottage in Devonshire after the death of their father, they accept their new circumstances with cheer. Marianne falls for the dashing Willoughby, who is not all he appears, while Elinor falls for Edward Ferrars, a match that seems more suitable. Their pleasant connections are disrupted, leading to complications and heartache.
