Life of Anthony, The by Athanasius of Alexandria (c. 297 - 373)
This podcast presents a LibriVox audiobook recording of 'Life of Anthony,' a biography of the early Christian monk Anthony the Great written by Athanasius of Alexandria. The narrative follows Anthony's life from his youth in Egypt, where he gave away his inheritance after hearing a sermon on Jesus' call to the rich young ruler, to his decades as a desert hermit. It recounts his struggles against demons, his miracles, and his role as a father of Christian monasticism. The recording is read by volunteers and was summarized by Matthew James Gray.
