KWAM (The Mighty 990) is a commercial news-talk radio station licensed to Memphis, Tennessee, broadcasting on 990 AM with a low-power translator at 107.9 FM (W300DE). Owned by Starnes Media Group, it is the Mid-South's only locally-owned news-talk station, pairing local news, weather and traffic with nationally syndicated conservative talk programming. Its call letters date back to 1959, when the station was renamed from KWEM.
