Playstation Woes
Well contrary to the rather alarming leap in logic made by some corners of the internet, Playstation too is susceptible to market forces and component prices. Anyone with a working brain knows this but many were in denial. Now Sony has said that the PS6's fate is determined by the component prices. Add to that, Bungie's value continues to plummet marking just how terrible an acquisition it

Is PlayStation Phoning It In?
The internet seems to suggest that Playstation's State of Play was actually a good show which is at odds with my impression of it and it suggests to me that Stockholm Syndrome has set in for many onlookers who have adjusted their expectations after successive bland Sony shows have now caused people to accept a lower standard from the market leader. But maybe I'm wrong? Playstation is getti

Then the following day, Helldivers 2 suddenly is announced for Xbox and this supposedly first par
The Next Gen Xbox Revealed
Despite its impressive software run, a lot of Xbox fans were questioning the future of the platform in the hardware space. The Xbox Games Showcase and Sony's Poor State of Play
Here we go! The big annual Xbox showcase event and this week we also had State of Play from Sony. Will Xbox deliver enough to satiate people? Will Xbox Deliver?
We are a week away from the Xbox Games Showcase and already we've had some bad news that Xbox has sidelined its handheld project 'Pembrook' according to Windows Central. The new Cyberpunk game was officially revealed as Cyberpunk 2 a
Xbox Is Bringing The Heat
Whilst the Xbox hardware division can get plenty of criticisms it looks like its software offerings, particularly in relation to Xbox Game Pass are another story entirely. Xbox Game Pass subscribers just got the Oblivion Remaster shadow drop on to the service and this is no mere remaster. Its restyled in Unreal Engine and not one of your lazy cash grabs that you see from other platform holders (yo
PC Gaming Is The Future!
Console gamers continue to get the shaft as Playstation increases the price of Playstation Plus in several regions, Nintendo continues to reveal how greedy it is, but not when it comes to trying to pay off Digital Foundry for their tech comparisons. Nintendo Switch 2 FAILS In A Big Way
Nintendo has stumbled in a very big way. After the offical reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo revealed information about its game pricing and Nintendo is seeking to singlehandedly increase game pricing from $70 to $80. Death Stranding 2 Astonishes, Xbox Handheld Revealed & PlayStation 5 Pro Gets Much Needed Update
This week we got a fair bit of news from all over. Kojima wowed everyone with a 10 minute trailer for Death Stranding 2 which looks absolutely amazing. I was away last week and since then lots of things happened. Fable got delayed (as I expected), AMD shocked everyone by slapping NVIDIA in the face with its new GPU that finally brings real competition in the graphics card space, Hazelight Studios and Josef Fares just keep on winning with Split Fiction that wows critics, Playstation had more layoffs and Ballistic Moon behind the Until Dawn series

Nick Marseil, the serial Playstation defender will be joining me as we talk all things Playstation, the State of Play that really did hurt his feelings (which he will vehemently deny), how Jim Ryan set back Playstation for years, the future of Xbox and Playstation in the gaming space and more.
Playstation State of Fail
At this point it feels like we are silly to hold out hope in Playstation delivering a good show. Another Sony State of Play that fails to appease the starving Sony fanbase that has been gagging for a good showcase or State of Play since 2023? Maybe even before that. Who knows. Either way, welcome to the Apple of Gaming.

Xbox finally gets a win with Indiana Jones from Machine Games as reviewers sing its praises. Marvels Rivals gets a huge dose of players as the game breaks the live service mould of late by delivering a promising free to play title with potentially long legs and Path of Exile 2 might just be a sleeper hit and take over the space Diablo enjoys.
Oh and Valve is thinking of entering the console space
Are Video Games Too Woke Now?
Are videogames too woke now? This topic keeps rearing its head but the art director at Obsidian did nothing to swell the debate but add fuel to it with his controversial statements that even got Elon Musk involved. You see it all the time. Pronouns in games, switched gender roles, or issues regarding race. Is their merit in the arguments of those detractors that bemoan developers seeking inclusivi

I’ll dive into what this means for Xbox and PlayStati
The Future of Halo Revealed
Out of no where 343 or should I say Halo Studios made some huge announcements and revealed the future look of Halo games with the move to Unreal Engine 5. It impressed many but also caused some controversy. Metaphor: ReFantazio is Atlus' fastest selling game, with excellent Steam player counts and huge critical success despite the concern trolling from some odd concerns of the internet.
Starfield - Shattered Dreams
Starfield's first big DLC is out and it has not been met with rave reviews. Some have lashed out at reviewers speaking ill of it. Is this trademark overreaction and defensiveness? Silent Hill 2 on the other hand has shocked many including me with its great critical reception. Bloober Team have defied the doubters. It looks like Ubisoft might be getting positioned to be bought out after a series o
Ghost of Yotei Saves A Rubbish State of Play
We have now had both Sony and Microsoft present their games shows this week. Expectations should have been high for the State of Play but with a fanbase beaten down in submission, anything from first party, even a singular title, would have pacified the fanbase suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. And that's exactly what happened! Is Ghost of Yotei enough to justify years of anaemia from Playstation
PlayStation Is Turning Into Apple - w/ Jez Corden
After several reports about Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy Rebirth underperforming on Playstation, Square Enix have finally officially confirmed the reports. What does this mean for the future of Final Fantasy? Is the appeal of this legendary IP waning? Is this because of the exclusivity strategy? Final Fantasy 16 also released on PC this week but to not so spectacular player numbers on Steam.
Playstation 5 Pro - Too Expensive?
Sony finally revealed the worst kept console secret that is the PS5 Pro that has been met with lots of criticism and ridicule after a very limp presentation and a shocking price reveal. Will PS5 Pro make a splash that it needs to with the hardcore? Is the price indicative of the perils of a lack of competition in the console space? Microsoft also announced another 650 employees losing their jobs a
Astro Bot & Concord - A Playstation Story

A new mascot is about to take hold for Playstation delivering quality that may match Nintendo's platformer's standards. However, the debate
Playstation FAILS & Xbox's Future w/ Gene Park!
PlayStation and its live service and multiplayer pivot is not going so well. Concord from Firewalk Studios has seen abysmal numbers of players on Steam and doesn't seem to be making a meaningful splash on console either.
