
Tom and Jerry
Tom and Jerry is an American animated media franchise and series of comedy short films created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Best known for its 161 theatrical short films produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the series centers on the rivalry between a cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry.

Tom has a nightmare of being pounded by a giant dog. Jerry lures Tom into a series of encounters with the miniature vicious bulldog introduced in The Cat's Me-Ouch (1965). Tom finally decides the nightmare wasn't so bad after all.
160. Advance and Be Mechanized
Jerry uses a robot mouse to snatch a sample from a lunar cheese mine being mined by robots; Tom gives chase with a robot cat.
159. Shutter Bugged Cat
Tom watches and studies films of some of his earlier encounters with Jerry, much like game films; he runs them backwards and stops them so he can study them more closely, all the while scribbling notes. Tom chases Jerry through a variety of winter scenes.
149. Matinee Mouse
Tom is chasing Jerry through the back yard. Jerry escapes to a bird house. A bit more chasing. Jerry crashes into the wall. Both decide they've had enough, and wave the truce flag; they go to the movies of themselves, which is an excuse for another bargain clip show. The truce doesn't hold, and eventually the characters on screen stop and take notice.

With the help of a shark, Jerry protects a pet goldfish from a hungry Tom.
147. Puss 'N' Boats
Jerry's a wharf mouse; he sees a load of cheese being loaded onto a cargo ship and tries a variety of tricks to board, but Tom is on guard.
146. Love Me, Love My Mouse
Tom is wooing Toots; he presents her with a present - Jerry. But Toots would rather play mother to Jerry than eat him, much to Tom's annoyance.
145. Jerry-Go-Round
Jerry is chased into a circus, where he removes a tack from the foot of an elephant. This gets him a friend for life, and a powerful ally in the continuing battles with Tom, not that it stops Tom from trying, even when Jerry becomes part of the act.
144. Jerry, Jerry, Quite Contrary
Jerry keeps attacking Tom in his sleep and although he tries to stay awake it doesn't work as he follows the cat by sleepwalking.

Tom and Jerry face off in a series of duel scenarios, using everything from slingshots to swords to cannons.

Jerry orders a vicious dog from a catalog, but when it arrives, it's even smaller than Jerry. However, despite its size, it launches an impressive attack on Tom.

Jerry and Nipper convince Tom that he is trying to self-harm himself in his sleep.
140. Of Feline Bondage
Jerry is visited by a Fairy Godmouse who gives him an invisibility potion so that he can get his own back on tricky Tom.

After Tom gets pulverized by a downtown train, he ends up chasing Jerry throughout the toy section of a large department store.
138. Haunted Mouse
Jerry's cousin, a magician, comes to visit Jerry and torment Tom.
137. The Brothers Carry-Mouse-Off
Tom tries a variety of tricks to trap Jerry, but winds up smashed into accordion shape, flattened like a doormat, squeezed into a fishbowl and trapped inside a female mouse costume.
136. Bad Day at Cat Rock
Tom and Jerry are on a building construction site. Things explode, Tom loses his fur for a while, Jerry hides in a glove, Tom falls from a great height and Tom has great trouble with a rock-and-girder see-saw.

Essentially one long chase scene, in an urban setting; at the end, a dog joins in, to Jerry's annoyance.
134. Ah, Sweet Mouse-Story of Life
Tom and Jerry battle on the ledges of a tower block, but join forces when Tom gets wedged in a drainpipe.
133. The Unshrinkable Jerry Mouse
Tom has Jerry on a leash and is treating him like a slave when a cute little kitten arrives. Since the kitten is a threat to Tom, Jerry naturally befriends him.
132. Snowbody Loves Me
A rather frozen Jerry rolls up to a cheese shop guarded by Tom; after he locks Tom out and thaws out, he carves himself a little Swiss village in a giant wheel of cheese.

Tom has problems with a dog as he chases Jerry.
130. Is There a Doctor in the Mouse?
Jerry creates a potion that makes him super-fast, which causes Tom nothing but trouble.
129. The Cat Above and the Mouse Below
Tom is an opera singer, trying to sing "Figaro"; Jerry lives under the stage and Tom is disturbing his sleep. This, of course, means war.

Tom is living the high life in a pent-house, while Jerry is starving way down below.

Jerry runs into the Metropolitan Opera (preparing to perform Carmen), so Tom poses as a violinist, with help from a hidden tape recorder.

During a blizzard, Jerry helps Tom out by getting him into a warm penthouse only to be betrayed by Tom.

Tom and Jerry accompany a man on a safari trip into the jungle. Like usual, Tom attempts to catch Jerry, but the man in the safari is fed up with Tom's antics and is very bitter to him.

Jerry is a cheese rustler in the old west and Tom gets deputized to bring him to justice.

Using a kit that contains both Tom and Jerry anyone can enter the lucrative field of animated cartoons.

The captain's obsession with the white whale Dicky Moe led his crew to abandon ship. He abducts Tom and enlists him as crew but Jerry's already on board to help make Tom's life miserable.

Tom falls for a female cat but she quickly loses interest in him when they arrive in at an island and Jerry torments him.
120. Landing Stripling
A young bird flies into Tom's territory, but quickly allies himself with Jerry. Tom shows a coyote-like persistence and reliance on ever more elaborate schemes to catch the bird.

Jerry reads that there are no cats in outer space, so he signs up for a trip but Tom ends up stowing away anyhow.

The usual antics of Tom and Jerry interfere with a man trying to barbecue.

Tom finds Jerry helping a mad scientist switch the minds of various creatures.

The lady of the house has gone out for a few hours, leaving her baby in the care of a stereotypical 1950s teenager, who immediately begins calling her friends. Tom and Jerry must call a truce to their constant chases as the baby, unsupervised, continually gets loose. George gives Joan a baby duck for her birthday. While they are out celebrating, Tom goes after the duck but his plans are thwarted when the duck (and, later, Jerry) finds a jar of vanishing cream and uses it to well, vanish, and get even with Tom (for a while, at least).

Tom must oppose The Two Mouseketeers without disturbing the King's sleep.
110. Happy Go Ducky
Little Quacker hatches out of an Easter egg to spread positive messages to everyone and everything he sees, but keeping him from harm turns out to be a full-time job for Tom and Jerry.

Tom has a chunk of the leftover chicken just before his owner George goes to look at the fridge. He threatens to take care of whichever animal did it. Tom frames Spike the dog, but Jerry snaps a photo of him in the act, prints up dozens of copies, and then battles Tom to get George to see one of them.

Tom, an award-winning mouse catcher, arrives in Spain to catch the flamenco dancing El Magnifico, (Jerry).

Jerry and Tuffy lead a quest to the dinner. So, Tom, Jerry and Tuffy had a fight over thanksgiving. In the end, Tom, Jerry and Tuffy agree to eat the turkey but Tuffy ate the whole turkey.

Tom's fraidy cat cousin comes for a visit and Jerry takes advantage of the cowardly feline.

Spike the bulldog warns Tom to keep away from his son, Tyke. Jerry realizes that sticking close to the boy is the best way to repel his feline tormentor, but Tom is not about to let the mouse evade him so easily.

A baby woodpecker mistakes Jerry for his mother. The mouse rejects the newly hatched bird but soon finds himself protecting it against his feline nemesis, Tom.

Tom steals a witch's flying broom so he can scare the wits out of Jerry.
97. That's My Mommy
When a duck hatches from the egg underneath Tom, he is convinced he is his mother. Tom thinks that he would like to eat the newborn duck, but Jerry shows him the truth while saving him from being eaten.
96. Pecos Pest
Jerry's eccentric uncle, Pecos, a Texas mouse, comes to spend the night with him before his musical performance on television the next day. He decides to rehearse with his guitar for the performance but each time he plays, one of his guitar strings snaps off. Fortunately, he is able to replace them by plucking off one of Tom's whiskers each time. Tom is rather reluctant about this and tries to hid

Nobody's home, so Tom invites his alley cat friends in to look at home movies (clips from earlier cartoons where Tom gets the drop on Spike). While they're showing them, Spike sneaks in.
94. Tom and Chérie
Mousketeer Jerry has a love letter to deliver to darling Lilli. He gives it to his young pupil, who has a hard time getting past Tom to deliver it, but he does. They send a few more letters back and forth, at great pain to the youngster.
93. Designs on Jerry
Tom designs a better mousetrap that would have made Rube Goldberg jealous. While he sleeps, the mouse that Tom drew wakes Jerry and they get chased by the cat Tom drew. As Tom awakes, they make a strategic alteration to the design.
92. Mouse for Sale
Tom sells Jerry to a local pet store that's buying white mice. Yes, Jerry's brown, but a little paint fixes that. The lady of the house finds the money Tom got and uses it to buy a cute white mouse. Jerry shows off acrobatics and dancing. Tom washes off Jerry's paint, but Jerry keeps finding new ways to become white before his owner can see him.
91. Pup on a Picnic
Spike is taking his son on a picnic. Jerry keeps hiding in the basket, so Tom keeps disrupting the picnic while chasing him.
90. Southbound Duckling
Jerry's little duckling friend has packed his bag and is all set to fly south for the winter despite the book Jerry keeps showing him that points out that domestic ducks do not fly south, and despite his obvious inability to fly at all. But that doesn't stop him from ending up in Tom's frying pan, at least briefly.
89. Touché, Pussy Cat!
Mouseketeer Jerry's old friend, François Mouse, sends his son for training. But when Jerry has to save the tyke from a run-in with Tom, the little one is sent packing until he manages to save Jerry.
88. Pet Peeve
Tom and Spike, whose cat food and dog food is getting too expensive, are forced to compete as mousers. The one who catches Jerry gets to stay.
87. Downhearted Duckling
A depressed baby duck thinks he is ugly after reading "The Ugly Duckling" and wants Tom to eat him but Jerry keeps preventing that.
86. Neapolitan Mouse
Tom chases Jerry through the streets of Naples; they meet a local mouse who recognizes them from their cartoons and shows them around. Meanwhile, some local dogs are shadowing them.
85. Mice Follies
Jerry and his friends flood the kitchen, then use the freezer to turn it into a skating rink. Even though Tom finds a pair of ice skates, the mice have no problem out maneuvering him.
84. Baby Butch
An alley cat disguises himself as an abandoned baby in order to con his way inside the house of Tom and Jerry.
83. Little School Mouse
Professor Jerry teaches a course in how to outwit cats, but his pupil seems to know more than Jerry.
82. Hic-cup Pup
Spike has just put Tyke to bed for his nap when Tom and Jerry chase out the door to Tyke's crib, waking him up. This gives Tyke an attack of hiccups. Spike warns Tom not to wake him up again, which of course is all Jerry needs...
