Public Radio East (PRE) is the NPR member public radio network for eastern North Carolina, licensed to Craven Community College in New Bern and on air since 1984. Its flagship signal, WTEB 89.3 FM in New Bern, carries the PRE News & Ideas service of NPR and local news and talk programming, alongside the separate PRE Classical music service. Studios are located in Barker Hall on the college campus, and the network serves 17 counties across the region.
