Down East Radio Reading Service (DERRS) is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that reads local newspapers and printed material on air for people who are blind or print-impaired in Nash, Edgecombe and Wilson counties, North Carolina. On the air since 2003, it serves more than 1,000 listeners 24 hours a day from its studio in Rocky Mount and partners with the North Carolina Reading Service in Raleigh.
