KZYR, known as The Zephyr, is a locally owned commercial radio station licensed to Avon, Colorado, and serving the Vail Valley and Eagle County with a modern rock / adult album alternative format. On the air since 1984 and renamed The Zephyr in 2001, it is owned by morning host Steve Leigh through KNS Broadcasting, LLC, and positions itself as "True Local Radio", combining rock music with Colorado artists, local news and high school sports coverage.
