Rabbit Holes & Meditations - Christian Bible Study
Rabbit Holes & Meditations is a Christian Bible study podcast that offers an honest, non-judgmental exploration of Scripture. Hosted by gregenewell, it follows a chronological walk through Jesus' words, diving into deep theological questions and cross-references. The show uses a 'Bible interprets the Bible' approach, avoiding third-party commentary to keep discussions grounded. It aims to provide depth and real-life application for curious Christians without being preachy.

Before the Beginning - Humanity as the Instrument of Spiritual Warfare
I know the questions. I was a staunch atheist before I ever took the bible seriously. These will throw any Christian off his game:
Where did the dinosaurs come from?
Why aren’t pyramids ever mentioned in the bible?
Our science dates the earth millions of years before Genesis… how does the Bible explain that?
There are monolithic structures that not only pre-date the bible, they pre-date humanity i
Brands and Logos - The Envy of Identity
Well, I started right where I should have in our journey tracing events in the bible where God has lived among men. The Israelites are about to construct the first human-built dwelling for God to live among them. I started today with Exodus 25 and didn’t get very far. I got to thinking about the last commandment (thou shalt not covet), about everything God is doing in this moment. I chased those t
The First Supper
Typically when you embark on a journey to study end times in the bible you’re are bounced between Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah with a little Matthew 24 and 24. Here, though, in season 5, As we walk through the Bible landing where God interacted with His creation, we are way back at the beginning and whatever the temple of the day was, we’re still seeing the connections leap off the page
The Mountain and the Veil
Today we're continuing our journey through one of the most important themes in all of Scripture: the temple.
When most Christians hear the word temple, they think of a building in Jerusalem. Some think of Solomon's Temple. Others think of a future temple still waiting to be built. But what if the story begins much earlier than that? What if the temple was never primarily about a building at all?

The Highest Form of Deception - The Chris Bledsoe UFO - Alien Experience
I just watched a lengthy interview on Danny Jones podcast of Chris and Emily Bledsoe. the Title is NASA’s Forbidden Alien Study Finds Proof of Spiritual Beings | Chris & Emily Bledsoe. These are two of the most credible people discussing alien encounters I’ve ever seen. The point here is not to debunk their experience. Quite the opposite, I think we should take it very seriously. The Invitation to Approach Holy Ground
We are early in our journey tracing the trajectory of God’s direct interaction with his creation. What we’re already discovering is a very tender, very soft entry. God does not land abruptly, he lands softly and leads. Unfortunately, men don’t always listen. Still, as we track through this history, you’ll see the patience, the persistence and the love of a Father for his children.
Today, we look a
Pinocchio in Reverse. A biblically grounded conversation with AI.
Just chillin’ with A.I. today. We may inject these conversations we have with A.I. occasionally into our podcast. One note before you attempt this. Always do it from a grounded position… or you will come away with a firm grip on the unreality you entered the conversation with! That, I believe is one of the dangers of A.I. We treat it as all knowing.
You’ll see from this conversation that we do not
The God Who Draws Near
If I'm being honest with you, the last few episodes have been heavy. We've spent a lot of time in some dark corners — the Nephilim, the corrupt powers behind the nations, the idol systems, the way that ancient spiritual machinery shows up in modern institutions, if you know what you're looking for. And I don't regret any of it. I think it's important. I think you need to see it clearly. But I'll t
The Ancient War in Modern Dress - Looking Behind the Curtain of Modern Spiritual Warfare
One of the temptations of reading ancient biblical text is to dismiss it as, well, ancient. Like it doesn’t apply to us. We are much more sophisticated, more cultured, wiser, smarter, more civilized. At least that is probably the thought running through a passive reading… until you pull back the curtain on today.

The Allure of the Counterfeit - Playing on the Devil's Court
What is it about the word “No”? I don’t know about you, but for most people, the minute they are told they can’t have something, they want it. Or at the very least, they are curious. A friend of mine has a two-year-old, and up until now, he’s gotten everything he’s asked for. Now, he’s learning the word “no”. There is a reason we call this age the “terrible twos”!

The Air War - The Spiritual Battle in the Heavens That is Still Raging
You might have thought that winning the ground was the grand finale. That should have been it. But the battle we fight is far deeper and far more pervasive. The battle you and I face as Christians is in the spiritual realm. Paul stated it plainly:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spi
The Ground War - Teaching Faith Against All Odds
I think by this point, many of our listeners might be scratching their heads. I thought this season was about the end times!
The inspiration for this season was that we think, and I believe the scriptures will get us there, is that most present-day biblical scholars on the end times are following the same dispensational track that is not supported by scripture.
We’re not inventing or, rather, re-i
The War Has Begun - Understanding the Spiritual Warfare of the Ancient Texts
You can read the Bible as a historical text, but if you do that, you’ll be hard-pressed to explain several passages that God-fearing people are often pressed with. One such question that often goes unanswered is how a loving God can command the utter destruction of entire races. One such example: Deuteronomy 20:16-18 - However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inh
The Serpent and Silicon Valley
We begin a new series today in Season Five. We are going to walk with God through the bible. It’s a huge endeavor, but the goal is simple. To understand what God wants for mankind and how He actually accomplishes it. We’re not presenting systems or charts. We’re not inventing theology and secret returns to fit a narrative. We are listening and interpreting with the only thing we need, God’s word.
The Vatican Discusses AI - And the Berean Juxtaposition
I happened to catch Pope Leo and the Catholic Church discussing concerns about AI. I thought this might be a good opportunity to weigh in as well. We’ve been very open about our use of AI on this podcast. Included in the source material is a recent Vatican discussion on AI and our response to it. I was particularly triggered by the idea that an institution heavily using AI is telling its members n
The Temple Evolution - From the Garden Back to the Garden
When you engage with the Bible and the Holy Spirit, you never know where it is going to lead you. This morning, in my quiet time, I sought to understand the relationship between the old temple and the new temple. That led me to seek a deeper understanding of the role of the Holy Spirit. As you dig into these questions, you can't avoid the garden metaphors that are everywhere, so we chased those me
Daniel's 70 Weeks - Debunking Darby and the Premillennial Rapture Theory
In our last study, we addressed the question of the rapture head-on. This taught me a lesson that I sometimes forget. Read the text! Understand the context. It seems that no matter what denomination and no matter how well-versed the pastor is, the theory of the rapture changes like changing the channel on the television. The pastor is the news anchor. If you don’t like CNN’s version, flip over to
Rapture - It's Not What They Keep Telling You It Is!
Probably nothing is debated more among Christians than the Rapture. I was just watching a sermon by Pastor David Jeremiah, and I think even he is caught up in the systems developed to predict and explain the rapture of the church. Frankly, while I love this pastor and, like so many others, I think he gets it wrong on this issue.

The UAP Disclosure - Thinking Biblically
You know, 10 years ago we would see the stories on the front page of the National Enquirer with headlines like: My Dad is an Alien. Now, the people who were once on the fringes of the News headlines are testifying to the US Congress. Americans are bracing themselves for disclosure. So far, there’s a lot of testimony, some pretty interesting videos, and random smartphone videos pepper the web. Whet
The Parable of The Growing Seed - Spiritual Growth
I think sometimes we think, like, I've crossed the bridge. I've professed my belief. I'm baptized. I'm a Christian! That's cool, but you're not finished. I think we've all been taught the Parable of the Sower, but Mark takes us to the next phase, the growth. And that is not of your doing. You didn't cause yourself to grow in your mother's womb, and you don't cause your spiritual growth. That's not
Things That Go Bump in the Night - Ghost, Demons and the Spiritual World We Live In
M6kzbqcfKDkn1Yl9Ubo8I think, as a rule, we tend to dismiss people who express profound interest in the spiritual, ghostly realm. Worse, we think those who claim to have had actual experiences with ghosts and spirits as “crazy”. It all gets swept under the table. I think as Christians we are missing a profound opportunity if we do that. The Bible is no stranger to the spiritual world.

Reincarnation - The Endless Treadmill of Depravity
This podcast is responding a listener request about reincarnation.
During the discussion, we learned a number of things. While addressing the issue of reincarnation, we also found out the following, and I have a feeling this is more common among professed Christians than you might think. These statements are telling.
I find it really difficult to read the Bible; it’s just too hard to understand.
Profiling Peter - Applying a Modern Personality Test to an Ancient Character
If you’ve ever gone through the interview process of some of the bigger companies, you were probably given some sort of a personality test… even if you didn’t realize it. The tech company I worked for liked Myers-Briggs. We all knew our MTBI, and most of us could ascertain the MTBI of our coworkers in a matter of minutes. As a salesperson, I was trained to ascertain my client's MTBI as quickly as
The Singularity is 1000 Days Away - AI Outperforms Humans
I think we are on the cusp of a buzzword becoming reality. Ray Kurzweil predicted the singularity to happen around 2030. I think he was right about the substance; he was wrong about the when (but not by much).
The (technological) singularity is a hypothetical point when artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence, triggering rapid, self‑accelerating technological change that fundamental
The Counterfeit Shepherd - AI Empathy
Yesterday we talked about: “The serpent we built.” This is the other side of the coin, now looking at the shepherd we follow. It derives from the exact same conversation we had with the Berean Teacher application about the Serpent We Built. The Serpent We Built from the Click to the Soul
The Serpent We Built is an article developed for our Berean Teacher series. As you may have learned from recent episodes in this series: We used our Berean Teacher application and uploaded discussions and videos from a number of sources to get the Berean Teacher (an application confined to the scriptures) to weigh in on the recent news and topics submitted by our audience. The idea was to cover as
Signs, Spirits and Synthetic Minds - The Modern UFO, UAP, AI Deception
We used our Berean Teacher application and uploaded discussions and videos from various sources to have the Berean Teacher weigh in on the recent news. The idea was to cover as much from all sides of the discussion as possible and then let the Berean Teacher respond with a comprehensive biblical perspective. The Berean application evaluates modern ideas, spiritual claims, cultural narratives, and
The Parable of the Sower
This is a repeat but worth re-hearing. Originally played in the Red-letter Journey.
Most Christians are already quite familiar with the Parable of the Sower. What often goes unnoticed, however, are the subtle distinctions in how each Gospel records and emphasizes the parable, offering perspectives that differ slightly yet remain fully complementary. In this discussion, we explore those nuances
The Two Debtors
I spent two hours contemplating three verses in Luke. The best way, I think, to read The Two Debtors in Luke 7:41-43, is to insert yourself into the story. If you dare, play the part of Simon the Pharisee. If your first inclination is to say, I couldn’t do that, that’s not me- well, then, you’re already doing it. And that’s the point of the parable.

Simulations vs Revelation
If you’re watching some of the biggest YouTube channels, or at least the biggest ones I watch - Chase Hughes, Steven Bartlett, Tom Bilyeu, the Why Files, and more, across the board, you are going to run into almost a universal consensus that we are living in a simulation. We decided to pit this theory against scripture using our Berean software.

New Cloth and New Wine Skins
It almost seems like a flippant remark by Jesus. He's asked why He's hanging out with sinners and tax collectors. And why isn't He honoring the traditions of the Jewish culture and religion? Jesus' response to the former question isn't so much of a dismissal but more in tune to - this is where I belong. It's more a matter-of-fact statement than a flippant remark - though a Pharisee might not have
The Berean Takes on the Atheist
I don't know about you, but if the four Gospels were identical copies of each other, what would be the point? If four people walk into a courtroom as key eyewitnesses and they deliver exactly the same testimony, what would you think?
Why should you expect the eyewitness accounts in the gospels to be any different? As a Christian, I always read knowing that I'm seeing the gospels from different p

Israel, Iran and the Seduction of Political Theology
There is a lot of rhetoric online about Israel and Iran. The US is clearly approaching a war with Iran if not already in one. So, things against that automatically get one marginalized by those who support the effort in Iran. The Davinci Code Syndrome - Using the Berean Filter to Decode Truth from Fiction
The first time I read the DaVinci Code by Dan Brown I was fascinated by it. It was a work of fiction, but it felt absolutely true. At the beginning of the book, it even says this: “All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate.” I happened to be on a flight to Paris when I was reading that book, years ago. One stop among many was the Louvre’, w

On the Road to Damascus - Kicking Against the Goads
You might have thought we were done with the red-letters! Au contraire! The disciples of Jesus have witnessed Jesus’ ascension. They’ve gone back to Jerusalem as instructed. There, they are filled with the Holy Spirit - the Pentecost. That happens in Acts Chapter 2 and from there the Christians are now actively spreading the word of Jesus. Peter’s first sermon is delivered in this same chapter. Th
Jews and Christians - Same Book - Same God
So, I’m in the midst of writing a book and the first part takes place in Israel and I’m trying, as a Christian, to understand the Bible from a Jewish perspective.

I don’t know if it’s just because I have not engaged the scripture so much from that side of the fence or not. In a game of Christian vs. Jew, the Christian ideology seems to make more sense of the text. The Jews h

The Second Fire - The Prelude to the Bema Seat
The Bible doesn't say much about the bema seat, but when we think of Christ's judgment, it often provokes negative thoughts. But every Christian will read John Chapter 21 and come away seeing Jesus' compassion and Peter's restoration. Let that image sink in.

Jesus as the Lawgiver: The Writing in the Dust
Now that we have walked through most of the Red Letters in the gospels, we can go back to some of the highlights. The Bible never ceases to amaze me with its depths and revelations. Chapter 21 is such a cool chapter. We often skip t

With yesterday being Tax Day in the US we thought it would be appropriate to dig deeper into the tax trap presented to Jesus. I just did my taxes yesterday. I always wait because I always owe money. As we were studying the burial of Jesus, this surfaced. We decided to do an entire podcast on it because it was such a cool revelation. Jesus has his footprints all over the Old Testament. If you're like me, you read the information about the construction of the Mercy Seat in Exodus with maybe some mild interest. God in

We take a break from the Red-Letter journey today to just discuss the elephant in the room. And to be sure, your elephant might look different. You could be looking at the tail or a foot. Repentance - The difference between Judas and Peter
One might be inclined to indict Judas for his premeditated betrayal. I think we come at Judas and pre-judge. But I've often considered the idea that Judas's intentions might have been good. I think this because I can't see how a person can walk with Jesus for that long and not think otherwise. Whatever Judas is doing, in his own head, he thinks he's doing the right thing... until he realizes he wa

A Most Excellent Gospel Account - A Report From The Disciple Not Named
We were having some fun in our Bible study today, getting AI to break free of its stodgy, formal character. Honestly, it wasn't working. So, we had to write a script for this reading and get 11Labs to read it back. It's not great, but not bad for the little bit of time we spent with it.

Mark's Ending - Take It or Leave It
We are on the other side of the crucifixion. Easter has passed, and on our Red-Letter journey, we come up to what I can only describe as jarring! When you have invested as much time as we have and focused on the harmony of all four gospels, there is something in Mark's last chapter that I've simply highlighted and marked as OPTIONAL. Yesterday was Easter. After the excitement of seeing the risen Jesus, I can imagine at least Thomas asking: "Lord, what happened down there? Inquiring minds want to know!" When the Verdict and the Truth Collide
Pilate knows the truth of Jesus' innocence. He has stated it three times. Yet when he issues the verdict, it is for the crucifixion of Jesus. The irony is staggering. The very word "verdict" means "to speak the truth".
I'm not exactly sure how to describe Pilate. He's often depicted as ruthless. He feels more like a puppet. He's that person always concerned about what others think. In this case,

What is truth? Those three worlds have consumed me for years. Isn't that the endeavor of every philosophical pursuit? And yet, we read those three words uttered by Pilate to Jesus, and simply move on.
