REMEMBER HIS PROMISES | HABAKKUK #3 | ROBIN COX
In Habakkuk 3:1-16, Habakkuk continues his prayer to God with a poem. Throughout his petition in this passage, we see that Habakkuk is in awe of what the Lord has done, and is confident that he can do it again. This week Robin encourages us to remind ourselves of the character of God, the works he has accomplished, and the promises he has made to us. As we grow in our knowledge of who God is, the
HOW WE WAIT ON GOD | HABAKKUK #2 | DUNCAN BELL
In Habakkuk 2, the prophet Habakkuk takes a stand at his watchtower after crying out to God about the growing threat of Babylon. When God answers him, Habakkuk is met with a simple command; wait on the Lord. This week Duncan encourages us to trust God's promises in the midst of life's difficulties. As we learn to rely on his perfect timing, we can be confident that he will fulfill his promises, an
BRINGING OUR ANGER | HABAKKUK #1 | MATT BERRY
In Habakkuk 1, we see the prophet Habakkuk crying out to the Lord in anger, seeking to find an answer to the injustice his people are facing. When God responds to him, we see that these frustrations are not met with instant relief, but with a promise that God is doing a good work in the midst of the struggles. This week, Matt reminds us that while we may not understand the hardships we face, we ca
IDENTITY | BY DESIGN #7 | DUNCAN BELL
At Jesus' baptism in Matthew 3:13-17, right at the beginning of his ministry, the words the Father speaks over him are words of identity. In this message we see that we find our truest selves neither by looking to the world, nor inside of ourselves, but by choosing to lay down our own desires to receive our identity from the Father.
VICTORY OVER LUST | BY DESIGN #6 | DUNCAN BELL
In Matthew 5:27-30, Jesus warns against lust. With powerful words, he speaks of how sexual sin will lead to death. For many Christians, the fight against lust and pornography seems hopeless but in this teaching we see how Christ has come to overcome all sin - including sexual sin. We can be confident that all of our sin has been forgiven, and that it no longer controls us. Through grasping the gos
FRIENDSHIP | BY DESIGN #5 | JEM L
This week we return to our By Design series, exploring the truth of friendship within the Bible. Through the Biblical examples of Ruth and Naomi, David and Jonathan and more, we begin to see how much we have lost sight of the depth of friendship that we can have today. In this message, Jem highlights that the whole story of the Bible can be viewed as a restoration of a friendship that was lost, t
RESPONDING TO THE RESURRECTION | HE IS ALIVE #4 | NAT PATTISON
In John 21:15-25, we see how Jesus challenges Simon Peter, asking him three times if he truly loves him. As Peter witnesses and convenes with the resurrected Christ, he cannot help but run to him, in spite of his own shortcomings. This week Nat challenges us to think about our own response to the resurrection of Jesus. As we begin to grasp the depth of his love for us, we are encouraged to follow
JOINED WITH CHRIST | HE IS ALIVE #3 | BETHANY COX
In John 21:1-14, we see the disciples unable to catch anything as they fish, until Jesus appears to them on the shore. As he proceeds to sit down with the disciples and enjoy breakfast with them, we are encouraged by the fact that Jesus gave up his life so that he could join in fellowship with us. This week Bethany highlights the beautiful picture of Christ and his church sharing a meal together,
JESUS IS THE CHRIST | HE IS ALIVE #2 | JOSIAH DAMISA
In John 20 we see the resurrected Jesus make his first appearance to Mary Magdalene and the disciples. This Easter Sunday, Josiah reminds us of the great news that Jesus' resurrection is for each of our lives. As we reflect on Christ's sacrifice for us, and the new life he has brought us into, we begin to realise that our satisfaction comes solely from him.
ENTHRONED IN GLORY | HE IS ALIVE #1 | JEM L
In John 19:1-22, we read about Jesus' sentencing before the Jewish crowds and his subsequent death on the cross. As Jesus is prepared for his crucifixion, Pilate mocks his claim to kingship, laying purple robes and a crown of thorns upon him. This week Jem highlights the deep irony of Pilate's actions. The cross is not simply a dark point in history, nor a moment of defeat — it is the crowning vic
SINGLENESS IS GOOD NEWS | BY DESIGN #4 | RHIAN GROOME
In Matthew 22:23-33, the Sadducees attempt to challenge Jesus on the implications of marriage after the resurrection, and he emphasises that we will all remain single in eternity. This week Rhian continues our By Design series by showing us that like marriage, singleness is also good news, not just for eternity but also for our everyday lives. In recognising the gift of singleness, whatever our ci
MARRIAGE | BY DESIGN #3 | DUNCAN BELL
In Ephesians 5:21-33 we see the outline of God’s good design for marriage, and what it means for each of us. Marriage is revealed as a profound act of sacrifice and unity, pointing beyond itself to a far greater promise. This week, Duncan shows us that whatever our circumstances or relationship statuses are, we are all caught up in this greater story. As we begin to understand the covenant made be
RADICAL UNITY | NATIONS SUNDAY | SEYI ADELEYE
As part of this year's Nations Sunday, where we celebrate the diversity of our church, Seyi brings us a one-off message from John 17:20-23. Here we see Jesus praying for all believers, encouraging them to be of one body, just as Jesus is united to God the Father. As we look to live as a people made in the image of God, this week we are challenged to set aside our differences and embrace one anothe
SEX: WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR? | BY DESIGN #2 | DUNCAN BELL
This week Duncan continues our By Design series by exploring what the Bible has to say about sex. In a culture that glorifies sex through the media and advertising of our everyday lives, it can be challenging to understand how it fits into God's plan for us. From Genesis 1 to the modern day, we can see that sex is an important part of the human experience — but it is not the pinnacle of it. As we
GRACE & TRUTH | BY DESIGN #1 | DUNCAN BELL
This week Duncan brings us the first message in our new series, By Design; looking at God's good plan for sex, relationships and identity. Through John 4:4-26, we see a conversation between Jesus and a Samaritan woman accused of adultery. Despite her social standing and broken relationships, we see that Jesus is full of grace and truth as he approaches this woman. His first priority is to draw nea
JOYFUL SACRIFICE | GIVING SUNDAY | ROBIN COX
In 1 Chronicles 29:1-22, we see the people of Israel joining together in an act of joyful and generous giving, contributing large sums of materials for the building of God's temple. Through King David's prayer in this passage, we can see that this giving has come as a natural response to the abundance of wealth that he has received from God. This week Robin reminds us that sacrificial giving, in w
TARRY TO CARRY | MARTIN WILLIAMS
This week, Martin follows on from our Vision Sunday message of building around God's presence. Through 1 Kings 18:30-39, we see Elijah rebuilding the altar of the Lord with care and attention, so that the fire of the Lord might fall upon it. From this passage, we are encouraged to build routine into our prayer lives, and to abide in the presence of God, not idly waiting for him but actively seekin
BUILDING AROUND GOD'S PRESENCE | VISION SUNDAY | DUNCAN BELL
In 1 Chronicles 13:1-4, we see one of David's first acts as king: returning the ark of God back to Jerusalem. Unlike Saul, who sought to build his kingdom on the strength of men, David's actions reveal the importance of working for God's agenda rather than our own. This week Duncan highlights how, as a church, we can begin to build God's kingdom together, through intentional community and growing
A GOSPEL FOR EVERYONE | ACTS #15 | JEM L
In Acts 8:26-40, we read about the Ethiopian man that Philip encounters on the road from Jerusalem, and how he is reading the scriptures of Isaiah. Through this story of a foreigner seeking to understand the good news of Jesus, we see how the gospel is already spreading toward the ends of the earth. This week, Jem reminds us that this same gospel is for each and every one of us, and how it is the
HOW TO MISS OUT ON GOD'S POWER | ACTS #14 | DUNCAN BELL
In Acts 8:1–24 we meet Simon the Sorcerer, a man who came close to experiencing God’s power but ultimately missed it. By trying to buy what was freely given, Simon revealed the pride of his heart and failed to grasp the significance of the cross. This week, Duncan challenges us to confront our own pride in light of Christ’s sacrifice. Only then do we truly recognise that God’s power is a gracious
WHEREVER, WHENEVER, WHOEVER | ACTS #13 | NAT PATTISON
In Acts 7 we witness Stephen, a man filled with the Holy Spirit, challenging the Jewish leaders of the Sanhedrin, even to the point of martyrdom. While figures such as Stephen can be great examples of how to live faithfully for God, the truth is that he was an ordinary person just like we are. This week Nat reminds us that access to God is not limited to any particular place or person. Instead, we
A HEART POSTURE OF SURRENDER | SEYI ADELEYE
In Luke 7:36–50, we encounter Simon the Pharisee and the sinful woman with the alabaster jar. Despite her social standing and sinful past, the woman approaches Jesus in humble surrender, unlike Simon. In this message, Seyi challenges us to confront the depth of our own sin and bring it honestly before God. When we adopt a posture of surrender before the Lord, he is gentle with us, and begins to wo
THE PRINCE OF PEACE | JESUTOFUNMI OLANIYI
In this once-off Christmas message in Luke 1:26-38, we see the fulfillment of many Old Testament prophecies through the birth of a child, Jesus Christ. This week JT focuses on one such prophecy; Jesus came to Earth as a peacemaker, to restore the relationship between man and God. Even in the midst of chaos and the busyness of life, we can rest in the assurance that through Jesus, we are given a pe
THE BEGINNING OF THE BODY | ACTS #12 | JEM L
In Acts 6:1–15, the appointment of seven men marks an important stage in the shaping of the early church. The apostles, like Old Testament priests, recognise they cannot do everything themselves and delegate ministry to others. This week, Jem reminds us that as members of Christ’s body, we are all called to serve as His priests. We step into service not because of special skill, but because we see
HOW GOD BUILDS HIS KINGDOM | ACTS #11 | DUNCAN BELL
In Acts 5:17-42, the persecution against the apostles begins to escalate as they continue to preach in the name of Jesus. Through this passage, we get a picture of what it looks like to build God's kingdom – we will always be faced with opposition. This week Duncan encourages us that in spite of this, we are propelled by an unstoppable God who is alive and active. As we pursue His will, even throu
BE HOLY | ACTS #10 | DUNCAN BELL
In Acts 5:1-16, we see how the holiness of God works to expose the internal sins of Ananias and Sapphira, leading to their sudden judgement. While this passage serves as quite an alarming episode in the New Testament, it is a reminder to us that we serve a God who is set apart – holy – and who can occasionally make us feel uncomfortable. This week Duncan encourages us that to live in God's presenc
THE POWER OF PRAYER | ACTS #9 | MARTIN WILLIAMS
In Acts 4:23-31, we see the aftermath of Peter and John before the council. Despite warnings to stop preaching in the name of Jesus, the apostles pray for boldness to continue proclaiming the gospel. This week Martin encourages us to consider our response to troubles that we face as believers. We don’t need to run or hide from them — through prayer, God empowers us to persevere even in the face of
NO OTHER NAME | ACTS #8 | DEREK TIDBALL
In Acts 4:1-22, all the way through to our own day, we see how the name of Jesus produces conflict and opposition. In this message our guest speaker, Derek Tidball, shows us that in spite of this division, Jesus is the one and only name by which we can achieve salvation. This means of salvation is not only the exclusive solution for us, but it is also an urgent invitation for us to turn from our p
HELP MY UNBELIEF | COLIN BARON
Our guest speaker Colin Baron brings us a once-off message in Mark 9:14-29, in which Jesus heals a boy who is possessed by a spirit. Throughout this passage we learn the importance of having faith, even when accompanied by doubts. Despite our own failures and shortcomings, we are still invited to keep trusting in God through prayer.
BETTER THAN HEALING | ACTS #7 | DUNCAN BELL
How should we understand healing in the Christian life? In this message in Acts 3:11-26, Duncan shows us that physical healing events, while dramatic and exciting, are not the main thing that God has come to do in this world. Instead we can learn to fix our eyes on something much greater – a healing of our soul. This healing is not one that we have to wait for – we can start living in it today.
WHAT WE HAVE | ACTS #6 | JEM L
In Acts 3:1-10, we see Peter and John healing a paralysed man — not because they had the power to do so, but because they knew that Jesus did. This week, Jem shows us that when we know Christ, we each have something to offer in this world. Empowered by His Spirit we can be encouraged to step out boldly and bring His kingdom into our community.
THE COMMUNITY WE'RE MADE FOR | ACTS #5 | DUNCAN BELL
In Acts 2:40-47 and Acts 4:32-37 we begin to see the impact of Pentecost on the city of Jerusalem, not by the spectacle of the event, but by the community that was formed through it: the church. In this message, Duncan aims to show us that the community we are longing for is the very same community that God is preparing for us. What does the true potential of church life look like for us, and what

FOUR STEPS INTO GOD'S PLAN | ACTS #2 | DUNCAN BELL
In Acts 1:12-26, the gathering of the disciples serves as a beautiful picture of what it looks like to begin participating in God's story. PROMISED POWER | ACTS #1 | DUNCAN BELL
As Jesus is about to leave Earth in Acts 1:1-11, He promises to equip His church with a new power, the Holy Spirit. This power is promised to His people so that they may be prepared for everything that they are meant to be, and everything that they are being called into. In this message, Duncan shows us that the same Holy Spirit is at work in our lives today, and that through this power we can be

Duncan shared his story of how he's seen God move recently and what He might be doing among the church. Preaching from Genesis 28:10-17, he shares a story of God suddenly drawing near and how this seems to be an opportunity for us to know God in a new way - if we are willing to be transformed by his glory. As there are signs he is moving in our nation, this is a time for us to turn again to him.
THE TRUE VINE | I AM # 7 | MARTIN WILLIAMS
In John 15:1-17 Jesus declares that he is ‘the true vine’, and that we are its branches. When we choose to abide in Christ, he abides in us also. Here, Martin reminds us that as the branches we are unable to be fruitful in our own strength, but if we remain in Him, we may learn how to bear fruit for His kingdom and love one another.
THE WAY, THE TRUTH & THE LIFE | I AM # 6 | GOKE OLUJINMI
Through John 14:1-8, Jesus reveals himself to be ‘the way, the truth and the life’—that in Him, we might find answers to the questions of our hearts. In this message, Goke helps us see that Jesus is the only way we can gain access to God the Father—everything else is temporary. In recognising this, we can learn how to approach the Father, and begin to see how he is shaping us to be like Jesus.
THE RESURRECTION & THE LIFE | I AM # 5 | RHIAN GROOME

THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP | I AM #4 | ROSELLA PAYNE

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD | I AM #2 | MARTIN WILLIAMS
In John 8:12, Jesus declares, “I am the Light of the world,” revealing Himself as the very Light that John introduced in the opening of his Gospel (John 1). FREEDOM FROM COMPARISON | JEM L
In Matthew 20:1-16 Jesus tells a parable of labourers who work for different lengths of time throughout a day but all receive the same pay. They were all given more than they were due but many grumbled about it not feeling fair. Comparison is the thief of joy and seeing what others have can fill us with bitterness or discouragement. Adjusting our position can help us see that we are blessed beyond
