The Redefector
The Redefector is a ten-part true-crime espionage series examining the 1985 defection of KGB colonel Vitaly Yurchenko to the United States. Host Julie Cohn explores whether Yurchenko was a genuine defector or a Soviet plant sent to mislead the CIA during the so-called “Year of the Spy.” Featuring interviews with CIA officers, FBI agents, reporters, and a former KGB general, the series unravels one of the Cold War's most baffling intelligence mysteries and questions what secrets Yurchenko may have been sent to hide.
