Guns for Hire
Guns for Hire is a podcast from the Atlantic Council’s North Africa Initiative that examines the rise of mercenaries in armed conflict. Using Libya as a starting point, it explores the causes and consequences of private warfare and the normalization of hired fighters. The show features guests ranging from ethicists and historians to former mercenary fighters. It asks what this trend reveals about the current world order, the future of the international system, and how war may be waged in the coming decades. It is written and hosted by Dr Alia Brahimi.
