WDVX is an independent, listener-supported community public radio station serving Knoxville and East Tennessee. Its broadcast license is held by the non-profit Cumberland Communities Communications Corporation, and it broadcasts American roots music: bluegrass, Americana, classic and alternative country, Western swing, blues, old-time and Appalachian mountain music, gospel, Celtic and folk. The station is known for almost daily live performances, including The Blue Plate Special from the Knoxville Visitor Center.
