
WKAR Radio Reading Service is a free 24/7 audio reading service from WKAR Public Media at Michigan State University for people who cannot read printed material due to visual, physical or cognitive conditions. Launched in 1973 as The Radio Talking Book, it airs newspapers, best-selling novels, weather and local information read by volunteers within a 60-mile radius of WKAR's tower and online.
